Cara: Something that startled me is the ratio of hetero to lesbian transsexuals. I've always assumed that I was in the majority in being sexually attracted to men, but it seems most transsexuals (at least whom I've encountered online) identify as lesbian.

think that has a lot to do with what were comfortable with. We all know how
uncomfortable it is to completely change your life like this, I think hanging on
to our sexual attraction to women gives us one less thing to cope with. Also,
I've often joked/commented with those few that I am out to that I love women so
much I want to be one. By that I don't entirely mean the romantic sense, but
that I just love everything about women, which I think attributes to my
Transgenderism.
Others (paraphrasing Rene above), feel as a guy, they were never
attracted to men, but as they realize their inner gender, sexual interest in men
increases as a woman. They may end up bi, predominantly dating women but with
occasional sexual interest in men.
