Background Info:
All of these pictures were taken outside the room I changed in. They were taken by Brenda (Thank You!), one my "room mates" for the event with my new digital camera. These images, as all are that are taken with this camera, are 40% to 50% of their original size (1536x1024!) for faster downloads.
The silver/grey dress is a new addition to my wardrobe, purchased from a Victoria's Secret catalog, as were the shoes. The long formal one is also a V.S.' dress but purchased a year ago (about the same time as the shoes-first pair purchased! The dress was never worn out before because it didn't look good on me. A combination of weight reduction and some help in the hip are what makes it now an outstanding looking dress, don't you think? The short one is from Frederick's, showing lots of leg! My wife looks better in this one than I do. Yes, we have gone out together with HER wearing it!
I am wearing a different foundation garment with each outfit, to fit the style of that piece. Under the silver dress, I'm wearing a one-piece body shaper with straps in a cream color. Up close it looks like I am wearing a bra. I've worn this combo in the "dress rehearsal" shots seen elsewhere on this web site. You can see what I mean in those a little better. This is a great combination! The shaper however is an earlier piece (again V.S.) purchased before my Silicone breast forms so it is really a bit small. It's a 36B and I'm a 38C now. For the black short dress, I'm wearing a black body shaper with crotch hooks. I couldn't resist this idea to wear a one-piece garment that fitted below the crotch and also over my shoulders! It was purchased from J.C. Penny's catalog. The manufacturer says it reduces your size by an inch! It is a 38C, a perfect fit! For the long dress, I have to wear a strapless bra. I have a few of those for various outfits. This is a long one that has a bit of boning to help reduce the tummy area.
The pictures were all taken outside the room in the hallway of the hotel because it was crowded in the room itself with 5 of us sharing! The last outfit worn was the short black one and I danced (in high heels!) till the early morning hours in it! Whew!
I missed going to the ball this year (1999) because I was just settling back in, moving from New York City.
