Advice on Electrolysis vs. Laser Treatment

I am a CD living in Vermont who goes out in public regularly. I wanted to get your advice on electrolysis vs laser treatment. I recently had my first laser treatment last week and found it very painful. It was a bit expensive at $400. and I have to go for 4-5 more treatments. The technician advised that it will get rid of 50-60 % of beard hair. I also did not like how red and bumpy it left my skin for the week. I am wondering if electrolysis would be less painless and less harsh on my skin. Any recommendations would be helpful.

Sorry you did not consult me sooner!
Laser is very painful and not only is it painful, it is smelly-that is your skin burning!
There are three stages as well to getting rid of hair follicles and the lightest of hairs -the grays, etc can not be gotten rid of with laser alone because they cannot be seen by the laser light, only the darker hairs can.

Electrolysis is easily the way to go. More effective, less expensive long term and so on. The doctors will give you a shot to numb your face so you not feel a thing but you will still need several treatments because of the hairs' growth cycle's.

You will still have to shave but only in slight moderation and your hair can still be expected to be coarse, unless you take ESTROGEN. Overall however, you will be very pleased with the results achieved and they will be worth the expense and time if you can afford it. I would recommend electrolysis over laser. The results will go beyond the 60% the doctor told you for the other treatment.
