Press on nails

A lot of girls have a bad experience with press on nails using the adhesive tabs, but don't want to use glue because of the time required to soak off the nails.  Here's what works for me.

1.)  I paint my press on nails ahead of time.  I size them to my nails, then lay them out on a piece of duct tape stapled sticky side up to my work bench.  I give them three coats of color, then add decorations if desired, then two coats of clear.  I find this much neater than trying to polish them when they are on my fingers.  (I know, "Get a life!", but it pays off in GREAT looking nails.)

2.)  Clean nails are a must; I clean my own with acetone polish remover, then sand them with paper or an emery board, then clean them again with the acetone polish remover.  Clean the inside of the prepared press on nails with non-acetone polish remover carefully - use a cue tip.

3).  Apply all the tabs at once, straight side toward the nail tip.  Do not take the paper off a nail till your ready to put the appropriate press on nail on.  Have your prepared nails laid out neatly ahead of time.  If you have wide and or flat thumb nails, take the paper off the adhesive, then take one of the small tabs you don't use and put it right in the middle of your thumb, giving you an additional thickness of adhesive right where it's needed.

This has worked well for me, with the nails staying on in all but the most strenuous situations.  I hope it does for you, too.
